FUR-LISATION

For this project the aim was to highlight the contrast between fur and industrialisation. The outcome is raw, edgy and concrete as what you would find in the industrial world – but it is also contemporary and yet very timeless as the material fur.

The first final fur technique is made by combining black fur with an industrial raw ratchet strap and a shiny seatbelt. The second technique is created by combining fur and denim with silver eyelits.
The combination of the raw materials and the soft fur makes an interesting 3D effect when curved around the body. From distance it is hard to tell what materials the fur is combined with, but by taking a closer look you discover the unconventional materials used.
